Maximize Security and Reliability We designed Office Accelerator so that your data is as secure as possible and can be accessed on a consistent basis. Our service is successful because we achieve these objectives. Security Is my data protected? When you log into Office Accelerator, you are logging into our servers located behind multiple firewalls. Not only is the security redundant, but it is the best security available today. If security is a concern, this is the solution for you. Is my data kept private? It is Baseline Data System's policy that we will not review, share, distribute, print or reference any of your data. Your data will only be reviewed for the purposes of resolving a problem, improving your service, a suspected violation of the License Agreement, as required by law, or for any purpose you have requested that requires access to the data. Of course, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login identification. Is my data secure traveling over Internet?
We have developed a proprietary methodology for
securing your data going to and from your computer over the Internet. The
architecture and specification for this methodology is not published for the
security and protection of all of our customers. Reliability What happens if my Internet connection goes down? Option 1: Just go to another computer or handheld device that has Internet service available. OAmobile is available from any browser. Or, in just a couple of minutes, you can download and install the Office Accelerator client software and log in from there. None of your data will be left on the computer when you are done. Option 2: We recommend for all your Internet critical applications, including email, you have an alternate Internet connection available, even if it is dial-up or a tethered BlackBerry device. The Office Accelerator service is designed to run under dial-up or tethered connections, so this is a great option if you lose your Internet connection. Option 3:
The Office Accelerator Mobile Sync feature
synchronizes your phone book and calendar to your local computer or laptop. This
allows you to have access to your data until your Internet connection is
restored. Once it is restored, you can re-connect to the server and upload all
of your latest database changes. What happens if the Baseline Data Systems servers or connection goes down? Unscheduled down time is an extremely rare event. We have built in redundancy by using multiple computers and backup generators in order to minimize any system failures that could be perceived as customer outages. All components of our system are constantly monitored to resolve problems before they can create an outage. In the event of an outage the issue will be resolved immediately by our full time IT staff. Since we intimately understand the architecture and design of the system, it will be up and running quickly. In the highly unlikely event of an outage, you can also run the application in Mobile Sync mode, which gives you full access to Office Accelerator on your local drive until we are back up and running. Changes made while in Mobile Sync mode are uploaded upon reestablishment of the connection. Can I backup my data? We backup your data everyday at no extra charge. Office Accelerator includes several methods of exporting and syncing data allowing you to create your own ubiquitous backup. What happens if my computer hardware crashes? This is a tremendous advantage of the Office Accelerator service. All you do is re-install the Office Accelerator client application on your new computer and log back in to the system. All of your phone book and calendar data is restored where you left off last. | |
